Originally it's an Assyrian village named after (yacoub el baradeai) who followed one of the Christian doctrines.
Geographical features:
It is located in the north west of Syria and it' s 140 KM far from Aleppo and 385 km from The Capital Damascus and it's 480 m above sea level .

The climate: it has a variety of climate and in most cases it's cold at night because it's situated in the mountains

Tourism: it is one of the most favorite summer resorts of Aleppo where there is the famous church and Vault of St. ANNA which is visited by every kind of people from different religions.
The citizens : this village are considered one of the kindest and most hospitable people in Syria, and you can realize this once you visit the village. Many doctors, engineers, lawyers, artists & pharmacists were born in this village.

JESER AL SHUGHUR: It is 48 KM far from IDLIB, and located on the banks of ASI River. Some of the buildings go back to the Ottoman period, such as the Street of the castle, the bath and the big mosque. It is famous for the bridge which goes back to the Roman era.
BAKKAS CASTLE: is located 10 far from jeser al shughur , and it is an Arabic Islamic castle that witnessed many of the wars of Crusades , surrounded by natural trenches to prevent the forces of the enemy to get closer to the castle.
DARKOUSH: it is located 28 KM far from Jisr al shghour, and the flowing AASI river passes the houses located on the banks. AL KINAYA: it's a summer resort that is located 17 km North Al jisir, and 400KM above Sea level. An antique church and a carved cave were discovered in it.
Al ghasania: It is located 17 km West Al jisir and 800KM above Sea level. Where they discovered an old Byzantine church .and a mosaic picture in one of its houses
